Bob Dylan wins Nobel Prize for Literature

With all the notoriety the singer-songwriter has received in his six decade long career, this one surely tops them all as Bob Dylan has received this year's Nobel Prize for Literature.

The 75-year-old has become the first American to win the prize since Toni Morrison in 1993, and was awarded on behalf of his contribution to the art rather than any specific work, stating he had "created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”
