Since Bombay Bicycle Club went on hiatus some time ago, we have since seen plenty of new material from the members, including Ed Nash's much-applauded Toothless guise. Now the band's frontman Jack Steadman is getting in on the act with his own musical side-project.
Going by the name Mr. Jukes, Steadman's latest front is said to be inspired by his love of jazz and soul music, and he is using the project to reinvent a number of classic tunes and create some new ones in his own way. His new album 'God First' sees him step away from the usual Bombay sound and adopt something that not many will be expecting, with plenty of guest appearances to boot.
'God First' is due out on the 9th June, and we can already hear the first track from the release ‘Angels/ Your Love,’ a collaboration from BJ The Chicago Kid, in the player below.
