The Bonzai Pipeline - 'The Bonzai Pipeline'

7/10

Having been regularly working the underground scene for the best part of a decade, Dublin's The Bonzai Pipeline' have been one of the best kept secrets on the new music scene of late. With a sound that harks back to heyday of such influential groups such as Silversun Pickups, Pavement, Pixies and many more, they are now looking to bring their dynamic sound to the wider world with their eagerly-awaited new self-titled EP, a release brimming with fresh and progressive innovation throughout.

Despite it only being three-tracks in length, 'The Bonzai Pipeline' certainly packs plenty of punches. With its broad and immersive aesthetic perfectly heightened with plenty of grizzled riffs and hooks at every turn, they are establishing themselves as a vibrant addition to the new music landscape today. With each single such a brilliantly distinctive entry within their catalogue, this new release shows off not only what they are capable of, but also how eclectic their direction is right now.

While this new collection has certainly been a long time coming for both the band and their fans, 'The Bonzai Pipeline' has certainly been worth the wait. With a strong and confident approach to everything they do already, they are definitely ones to keep a firm eye on for the years ahead as well.
