Bryce Fox - 'The Bomb'

7/10

Over these last few years, US artist Bryce Fox has been on a broad and dynamic adventure. Blending a heady mix of anthemic alt-rock production with a distinctive commercial edge, his tenure to date has been filled with bold and euphoric offerings, always seeking to elevate his rich and passionate persona at every turn. And after a flurry of impactful outings these last few months, he returns once again with his eagerly-awaited new EP 'The Bomb', a collection that explores more of those riveting aesthetics throughout.

While much of this new EP has already arrived as individual singles, hearing them all under one roof certainly highlights the eclectic nature of his latest material. Moving from one innovative offering to the next, 'The Bomb' comes across as a brilliantly fresh and inventive return to form. Brimming with all the same explosive power he has looked to project on previous releases, this new five-track effort builds upon his immersive foundation over the years and delivers some of his most captivating cuts to date.

As one of the more exciting names on the scene today, Bryce Fox is still maintaining that explorative nature he first arrived with. 'The Bomb' is a strong and confident return from someone still eager to push his sound to the next level.
