Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard - 'The Non Stop EP'

8/10

Having garnered their reputation thanks to a slew of sold-out shows, their own Late Night Sermon club night in Cardiff and support slots with the likes of Miles Kane and The Magic Gang, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard have quickly found themselves as the golden child of the modern retro-rock revival. With a string of highly praised singles over the last few months, which have attracted the attention of thousands of tastemakers across the scene, the trio are now ready to make their presence truly known with the release of 'The Non Stop EP', a ten-track collection that looks to cement their legacy while the iron is hot.

Having regularly talked about their influences being the likes of T-Rex and Thin Lizzy, we already had a marginal idea of what to expect from this new release, but we had no idea just how much fun we would have listening to it. Filled with rock n roll swagger and soaring hooks, all led through the charismatic persona of frontman Tom Rees, 'The Non Stop EP' plays as an unstoppable juggernaut of big riffs and even bigger attitude that sees them less as humble appreciators of classic glam-rock, and more as one of the most exciting new bands to emerge all year.

While many will probably debate on how you can call a ten-track collection an EP, most of those semantics disappear in an instant when you switch onto 'The Non Stop EP' for the first time. It shows that Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard have no intention of remaining a small, niche operation, but have dreams and ambitions the likes we are only starting to understand.
