Cat Power announces new album 'Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert'

Following on from the release of her highly-praised 2018 LP 'Wanderer', Cat Power has now announced her plans for a new studio album, arriving in the coming months.

As the title suggests, the new full-length 'Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert' will see her reinvent the classic Bob Dylan live release, recorded during one of his most infamous tours. The new collection is being previewed by the new lead singles 'She Belongs to Me' and 'Ballad of a Thin Man', and is set to be released on the 10th November via Domino.

Speaking about the new offerings, she said, “More than the work of any other songwriter, Dylan’s songs have spoken to me, and inspired me since I first began hearing them at 5 years old."

“When singing ‘She Belongs To Me’ in the past, sometimes I turned it into a first-person narrative – ’I am an artist, I don’t look back.’ I really identified with it like that. But for the show at Royal Albert Hall, I of course, sang it the way it was originally written - with the respect for the composition…and the great composer.”

Have a listen to both of the new outings in the players and see the album's full tracklisting below.
