CIPRIANI - 'Meek'

7/10

When he first emerged with his breakthrough debut single 'The Old Larch Tree' back in 2019, Swiss singer-songwriter CIPRIANI established himself as one of the warmer and more inviting names arriving that year. With a sweet and tender approach to his heartfelt lyrical prowess, he now looks to continue his exciting ascent with the release of his eagerly-awaited new EP 'Meek', a release brimming with rich and immersive textures throughout.

Much like what we first got a taste of all those years ago, 'Meek' looks to broaden his musical horizons and deliver a beautifully alluring new offering. With his soft and supple vocal performance spread across a buoyant and illuminating folk-pop production at every turn, this new five-track aims to reintroduce him to the fold as one of the more passionate and wondrous artists currently doing the rounds.

While there has been quite some time since we last heard any new music from him, 'Meek' shows that there are still plenty of fresh and welcoming aesthetics ready to develop. With such a strong and confident approach to his direction throughout, CIPRIANI is certainly a name we need to get more familiar with in the months ahead as well.
