Daughters Of Reykjavík’s Salka unveils new solo project neonme

Having cemented herself within Daughters Of Reykjavík and CYBER over the last few years, Salka Valsdóttir has now returned to announce the details of her new solo guise.

Working under the name neonme, her debut single 'The Flower Phallus' comes accompanied by a stunning new video, directed by Katrín Helga Andrésdóttir.

Speaking about the new offering, she said, “I produced the Flower Phallus as a result of two things: My then girlfriend gave me a flower wand to cheer me up (I just started my period). I dreamt that I had a massive penis that had flowers growing out of it. Most of the percussion is made from recordings of the flowers I received as well as some recordings of bees and a vibrator.”
