After recently returning to deliver their much-loved comeback single 'I Want It All' last month, their first piece of new material in four years, The Drums have returned once again to deliver a pair of brand new singles.
The new tracks 'Plastic Envelope / Protect Him Always' are both set to appear on a new album from the band, their first studio project since 2019’s 'Brutalism', which is set to be announced soon.
Speaking about the new offerings, the band's Jonny Pierce said, “Plastic Envelope is about the pain that comes when your trust has been violated and the dread of not knowing if you could open your heart again the same way. The second song, Protect Him Always is an apology to the young boy in me, who I try my best to protect, knowing that when I get hurt, he gets hurt all over again."
