After starting as a joke and then heading onto Kickstarter for funding, the Run The Jewels cat-inspired remix album 'Meow The Jewels' is soon to be upon us.
One half of the rap duo, El-P, took to Twitter to announce some of the details around the new release.
Due for release sometime in September, 'Meow The Jewels' will be made available as a free download as well as having a vinyl release, and all profits will go to charity, or as El-P put it, "#MeowTheJewels is being made strictly to put money in hands of people in need."
He also mentioned that Massive Attack had provided a remix for the record, so now it's looking even more exciting.
