Father John Misty announces new album 'Mahashmashana'

Following on from his highly-praised LP 'Chlöe And The Next 20th Century' in 2022, Father John Misty has now announced his plans for a new studio album, arriving later this year.

The new full-length 'Mahashmashana' is being previewed by the lead single 'Screamland', a 7-minute epic which features Alan Sparhawk from Low on guitar and a striking string arrangement written by Drew Erickson, with a new video directed by Estefania Kröl, and is set to be released on the 22nd November via Bella Union.

Adding about the visuals, Estefania Kröl said, “The video is a visual journey through the depths of ‘Screamland,’ capturing the essence of both the music and the artists. Father John Misty blends seamlessly into the scene, becoming a part of the city, a living echo of ‘Screamland.’”
