Foo Fighters announced as first Glastonbury headliner

After numerous rumours have begun to circulate about who will be headlining this year's Glastonbury festival, Foo Fighters have now been confirmed as the first name to top the billing.

The US rock group will be headlining the Friday night of this year's festival, making it their first appearance at the event since 1998.

Foo Fighters will join the already confirmed Lionel Richie and Dalai Lama at Worthy Farm when Glastonbury Festival returns for the 24th-28th June.
