Frozemode - 'DEMODE'

8/10

Despite only emerging less than a year ago, the journey for London's Frozemode has been impactful to say the least. With notable high-profile festival shows, countless media praise, and an almost unending stream of anthems under their belts already, the three-piece are now looking to cement what they have achieved so far with their eagerly-awaited debut EP 'DEMODE', a release that highlights the genre-bending pursuit they have been on so far.

Usually when the idea of a rap-rock collective with a flair for DnB aesthetics emerges, many tend to recall the awkward phase similar bands tried to go through at the turn of the century. But by adding a distinctive British twist to their sound, and giving it a more revived direction throughout, 'DEMODE' has this incredibly infectious flow to it. With each track its own anthemic moment across this seven-track collection, Frozemode are establishing themselves as one of the more exciting and energetic outfits on the rise right now.

While their influences can be easily seen throughout their work, they have still managed to create something unique to each of them, creating a wondrous outing that builds upon their exceptional buzz already. Rarely faltering or relenting, 'DEMODE' marks the beginning of what is likely to be an extremely prolific career for the trio.
