What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

My voice because sadly I never started playing instruments until now. I’m learning guitar and I wish I started sooner but I’m really thankful to be starting now. My voice was always enough for me when I was younger because I didn’t need to bring anything or set anything up, I could bring my voice anywhere I went.

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

I grew up listening to lots of different music because when I was with my mom we would listen to Jack Johnson, Phish, and Bob Marley and when I was with my dad we would listen to Eminem, Akon, Kanye more rap and alone I would listen to country taylor swift, Carrie Underwood. I think that’s why I love singing so many genres.

What was the first album you remember owning?

The first album I ever owned was the Lizzie McGuire movie soundtrack I was OBSESSED.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

Love Story by Taylor Swift.

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

When I write a song I get together with my producer/engineer/co-writer and we decide what kind of vibe we wanna make and pull some ideas. Then he starts the beat from scratch which is super cool and exciting.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

I listen to Brent Cobb, Sam Barber, and Noah Kahan a lot but I also listen to Partynextdoor, Don Toliver, and Karri.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

I have always said Justin Bieber because I’ve always loved his music, but I think for the country it would be best to open up for Taylor Swift or Morgan Wallen.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

People’s reactions good or bad I think if it’s a good reaction it makes me feel happy to know my music is helping them or getting them through something or simply just making them feel good and if it’s a bad reaction I like to understand what someone doesn’t enjoy and help it push me to create better music.

And what is the most frustrating part?

I make music because I love it and it makes me feel happy. Sometimes when I start focusing too much on views/plays I get discouraged.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

To make the music you love and sing from the heart, not what’s trending.
