After following up their much-loved 2023 EP 'The Moth' with their vibrant comeback single 'Blue Tiles, White Tiles' earlier this year, fast-rising outfit Duck Wax are back on the grind once again with their infectious new jam 'Haircuts'.
Exploring more of that riveting funk-punk aesthetic they have been building for themselves, 'Haircuts' makes for an incredibly fun and swaggering listen. With its rich and groove-filled textures set to some catchy hooks throughout, they continue to ascend as one of the more distinctive names on the rise right now.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with them to find out more about their origins and what has been inspiring them most lately.

And what is the best piece of advice you’ve received as a musician?
All at once, in 5-part harmony: Picture this: it’s a quarter to 10, you’re about to go on stage…a middle aged Mancunian vinyl DJ grabs you by the shoulder and says “remember lad, when you get up there, it’s not about where yer going. It’s about the jeeeeerrney”.
