Following on from a dazzling array of releases these last few months, emerging artist LDRDO continues to shine with his woozy new single 'Doing My Best'.
Lifted from his newly unveiled debut album 'On The Road', which is available to stream now, 'Doing My Best' makes for an incredibly warm and inviting listen. With his sweeping vocal style spread across a riveting indie-rock groove throughout, he continues his ascent as one of the more captivating names on the rise right now.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his background and what has been inspiring him most lately.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
Piano.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
Everything from mainstream pop to death metal.
What was the first album you remember owning?
Metallica - And justice for all..
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
To be honest, I like so many songs, but there's a reason why it's not me who wrote them. To answer the question, I’ll give one of MANY examples I got in my head : Learning to Fly by Tom Petty.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
I like to get in my studio which is a very quiet space and just write down my thoughts . No filters, just pouring out whatever comes up, without self judgment.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
When someone in the world sends a message that they really connected to the music.
And what is the most frustrating part?
When things don't work out the way you expected them to work.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
“Life’s a journey, not a destination”.
