Getting To Know... Letisha Gordon

After recently returning with her brilliant comeback single 'Heart Attack' earlier this year, Birmingham-based artist Letisha Gordon is back on the grind once again to deliver her shimmering new offering 'Yo Yo'.

Bringing back more of that rich and electrifying R&B aesthetic she is known for, 'Yo Yo' makes for a vibrant return to form for her. With her bright and uplifting vocals spread across a captivating production from start to finish, she continues her ascent as one of the more exciting names doing the rounds right now.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

The keyboard (My nan bought).

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

90s RnB

What was the first album you remember owning?

S Club 7 - 7

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

Brandy – When you touch me

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

Waking up at 4am especially when I’m alone with my thoughts.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

SZA, Sinead Harnett, Lucky Day.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

Rihanna

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

The love from strangers.

And what is the most frustrating part?

Not being paid.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

Take your own advice.
