What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
My red Squier Strat, gifted to me in 2006 <3
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
Punk/Ska/The Beatles/radio hits from the late 90s to early 00s.
What was the first album you remember owning?
The first albums I bought with my own money were Rubber Soul by The Beatles and Dookie by Green Day.
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
Something timeless like Auld Lang Syne.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
Be ready and willing when creativity arrives.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Big Thief, Dan Reeder, Harry Nilsson.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Dirty Projectors.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
Finishing the thing.
And what is the most frustrating part?
Trying to finish the thing.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
When your set is over, don’t linger on stage.
