What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

The first instrument I fell in love with was the piano, specifically the keyboard. When I was younger, I loved playing it and I didn’t even know how the notes worked or anything. It caused a ruckus at my house, but it was a cool musical experience when I was a lot younger.

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

Growing up, I absolutely loved the radio. I would always hear songs off of albums like “1989 – Taylor Swift” or “Nine Track Mind – Charlie Puth”. I grew up listening to those classics, which leads me to believe that it was the reason I have such a mainstream sound. My favourite song when I was in elementary school was “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift.

What was the first album you remember owning?

The first album I remember owning was a vinyl of “Acid Rap” by Chance The Rapper, which my cousin gave to me as a birthday gift in 7th grade.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

This is a fantastic question. A song which resonates with me heavily would have to be “Nights” by Frank Ocean. It gives off a vibe like no other, and the lyrics are so beautifully written.

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

To be honest, I don’t have any major habits with my music. I sometimes freestyle songs with my friends, but in all honesty I just write music about the current events in my life.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

There’s a lot of different artists I’ve been listening to recently. I love showing love to my hometown first off, with artists like “Yungeen Ace” and “JDot Breezy”. Jacksonville is on the rise and I’m all for it. I listen to a lot of pop and alternative rock, with artists such as “Taylor Swift”, “Panic! At The Disco” and “Post Malone”. With rap music, I listen to almost anything, but my taste has resonated with “Lil Uzi Vert” and “J. Cole” recently.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

If I could open a show for ANYONE in the world, it would be a very hard decision haha. There have been so many artists that I’d absolutely love to share the stage with. Taylor Swift would have to be my number 1, no question. Out of all rappers, I think J. Cole or Kendrick Lamar would see the talent I have and would give me the best output. It’s honestly a tough question, but I’m all for seeing the future endeavors that people give me.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

The most rewarding part of being a musician would definitely be seeing the positive influence you have on others.

And what is the most frustrating part?

The work…

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

A wise man by the name of DJ Shab once told me that consistency is key. You can’t be a professional if your work is all over the place.
