What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

The guitar

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

We loved the music from the 80s when we were growing up, the explosive snare hits and anthemic choruses made you feel like you could take on the world!

What was the first album you remember owning?

Michael Jackson’s number ones.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

You Get What You Give by New Radicals

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

More often than not it starts with an acoustic guitar in a room with natural reverb. That’s usually where the lyrics and melody form and we take it to the band room from there and start demoing.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

Sam Fender’s most recent album has some incredible songwriting on it. I really like Harry Styles latest album too.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

If it was possible, we would love to go back in time and support INXS at their 1991 Wembley Show. I think at this stage we could all recite each movement Michael Hutchence made that night. It was an iconic show.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

Hearing people sing your songs back to you at a gig is definitely the most rewarding part especially when you think back to the initial stages of writing those songs and how far they’ve come since then.

And what is the most frustrating part?

The most frustrating part has to be figuring out how to fit all the gear into the car as well as ourselves. It’s like playing with lego.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

To persevere. It is a cliché but you’ll never know how far you can go unless you keep going.
