Glastonbury announces Emerging Talent Competition finalists

Glastonbury Festival have unveiled the eight names who will compete in this year's Emerging Talent Competition.

Bossy Love, Early Ghost, Gillbanks, Hattie Whitehead, Henry Green, Lady Sanity, Marcus McCoan, and She Drew The Gun have all earned a place on this year's shortlist, with the winner earning a place on the main stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival as well as a £5000 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Development prize. Two runners up will also be given £2500 in prize money.

Speaking about the competition, festival organiser Emily Eavis said, “Once again, we’ve been impressed by both the quality and quantity of new music out there in the UK and Ireland, with thousands of talented acts entering this year’s competition. It was extremely tough to narrow the 120 acts on the longlist down to 8 finalists, but we’re really pleased with the group of acts we’ve ended up with. I can’t wait to see them play at the live final.”

The mentioned live final takes place on the 9th April and you can check out a playlist of all the finalists in the player below.
