LCD Soundsystem sign to Columbia Records

Fresh from their reformation for a number of international festivals, LCD Soundsytem have now been signed to Columbia Records.

The news was accidentally announced by the label's chairman Rob Stringer at their Hot 100 event earlier this week, when he was asked what plans Columbia had for the year to come.

LCD Soundsystem's last release was 2010's 'This Is Happening' was originally released through Virgin Records, and the band have also confirmed that new material will be arriving later this year. We'll just have to wait and see what it is for now.
