Following on from Little Simz's barnstorming win last year, the 2023 nominees for the Mercury Music Prize have now be announced.
Previous winners Arctic Monkeys and Young Fathers find themselves picked again this year for their recent LPs 'The Car' and 'Heavy Heavy' respectively, while previous nominees Loyle Carner and J Hue also make this year's list. Jessie Ware finally finds herself added this year for her fifth studio album 'That! Sounds Good', with Jockstrap, Shygirl, RAYE and Olivia Dean all being picked for their debut full-lengths.
The 2023 Mercury Prize winner will be announced on 7th September during the awards show at London's Eventim Apollo. See below for the full list of nominees.
