Mercury Prize nominations announced

The nominations for this year's Mercury Music Prize have been announced and the list is as eclectic as ever.

Jamie xx (pictured), Aphex Twin, Slaves, Florence & The Machine, Wolf Alice and more have all been given nominations this year, along with relatively unknown act C Duncan.

The winner of this year's prize will be announced on the 20th November and you can check out the full list of contenders below.
