NAO - 'For All We Know'

7/10

We have been riding the NAO buzz for the last few years now. After releasing a flurry of interesting and groundbreaking EPs, the East London vocalist finally returns with her first full-length album, which doesn't rely on as many old singles as we first thought.

When a popular artist releases a debut album, the temptation to push all of their singles to date onto it is usually to be expected. And while 'For All We Know' features a fair batch of her familiar work, the majority of the record is brand new to this release and definitely adds a level of freshness to her sound. With a focus on minimal yet catchy production, NAO's vocals sit front and centre of this release and allow her to give a full platform to her talents.

While it is an impressive release, at 18 tracks in length, it could have done with some slimming down. There are some filler tracks on her that could have been removed and given the record an even better flow. Nevertheless, a great start for this woman who has been the talk of the town for longer than most.
