Nigel Brown - 'Freedom Beats The Dtum'

7/10

Throughout his illustrious tenure to date, London-based singer-songwriter Nigel Brown has established himself as one of the more prolific names on the circuit. Releasing a flurry of mesmerising offerings as often as possible, he has quickly earned a reputation for warm and alluring compositions that always look to build on what has come before. And after a rapturous response to last year's 'Here Comes The Truth' LP, he is back once again with his latest studio album 'Freedom Beats The Drum', a record brimming with passion and allure throughout.

Following that same innovative indie-rock appeal he has been cultivating since his earliest years, 'Freedom Beats The Drum' sees him returning to the fold in fine form throughout. Heavily inspired by the euphoric edges of the 90s Britpop sound, this new fifteen-track collection finds him in a wonderfully heartfelt guise as he serenades us with some of his most enchanting efforts to date. With tracks like 'All In All' and 'Where The Fields Go' standing as some of his more emotive releases yet, he is delivering some truly romantic gems here.

Times have certainly been very busy for him in recent years, but 'Freedom Beats The Drum' shows he is still very much on top of his creative game right now. With such a proficient approach to his songwriting once again, Nigel Brown continues to soar as a true innovator doing the rounds right now.
