PREMIERE: .imp gets groovy on his new track 'Pull Me Over'

After dropping his critically-acclaimed 'Headscrambled' EP earlier this year, London-based producer .imp has now unveiled the latest track from his release, and we have the honour of bringing it to you first.

The new track 'Pull You Over' "is all about the grind of repetition in everyday life and using music as an escape," explains frontman James Hargreaves. “That looped bass line is a musical representation of exactly that. I'd been listening to Sleaford Mods a lot, and loved the way they break rule afterrule - forget melody, forget song structure, put your guitar down, forget youth and traditional performance, none of that matters if you're confident that what you're doing sounds good. So that's what inspired the confidence to build a song around a 3 note bass line. Not everything I write is like that, but I think it works here - simple parts pulling together and creeping up on you.”

His new EP 'Headscrambled' is available to download now, and you can check out the exclusive stream of 'Pull Me Over' in the player below.
