Public Enemy to release deluxe editions of two classic albums

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the group's former record label Def Jam, Public Enemy will be releasing deluxe editions for two of their most influential albums.

'It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back' and 'Fear of a Black Planet' originally released in 1988 and 1990 respectively are both to be reissued as two-disc collections featuring the original album with a bonus CD of rare mixes and alternate versions. The former will also come with a DVD of the 'Fight the Power… Live' show, originally released in 1989.

Both albums will also come with new liner notes from The Roots' Questlove and Wax Poetics magazine editor-in-chief Andre Torres, with 'It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back' out on the 24th November, with 'Fear of a Black Planet' arriving a little later on the 8th December.
