With her eagerly-awaited new album landing early next year, Samia has now dropped the next cut to be lifted from her forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'Mad At Me' sees her team up with Papa MBye, was co-written with Rostam, and follows on from the previously shared lead track 'Kill Her Freak Out' in previewing her sophomore LP 'Honey', which is out on the 27th January via Grand Jury Music.
Speaking about the new offering, she said, "The lyrics for ‘Mad At Me’ came from a poem I’d written about imagining what it’d be like to stop caring about what anyone was thinking. I was cosplaying a position that I haven’t experienced - which is of literally any confidence in my point of view. In the video we tried to embody that character - a bunch of girls having a good time in spite of it all. It is a big lie,” she admits, going on to say: “I wrote it with Rostam Batmanglij on the day we met. Such an honor to have Papa Mbye on it!!"
