SBTRKT and Breach added as BBC Radio 1 Residents

After Flying Lotus and Jon Hopkins ended their BBC Radio 1 residencies last month, the station has now announced that SBTRKT (pictured) and Breach will be stepping in as the latest members of the radio series.

Speaking about his addition, SBTRKT said, “BBC Radio 1 has been a large part in my journey making and playing music - from listening to new music on Westwood and Pete Tong when growing up, to finding new music through Gilles Peterson & Benji B, Mary Anne Hobbs, the Essential Mixes, the Maida Vale sessions and all the DJs who have supported my music and performances to this day. It will be a great honour to get to play some inspiring music on the Residency show!”

James Blake's 1-800 Dinosaur, which originally hosted a show during 2014, will also be returning as part of the new line-up. You can check out the full list of showtimes starting this month below.
