The Sherlocks - 'People Like Me & You'

7/10

After first breaking onto the scene with their highly-praised debut LP 'Live For The Moment' in 2017, The Sherlocks have quickly cemented themselves as one of the more beloved names doing the rounds today. After an incredibly successful and prolific run of studio albums in the years since, all of which entered the top 20 in the UK's album charts upon their release, the four-piece are now looking to continue that winning streak as they return with their fourth full-length 'People Like Me & You', a record brimming with infectious energy throughout.

While The Sherlocks have always been a band that have never had a clear-cut anthem to their name, they instead create this wonderfully fresh and energetic approach that is too much fun to ignore, and that is exactly what we get once again on 'People Like Me & You'. Jamming itself with a frenzied atmosphere that combines killer riffs with memorable hooks at almost every turn, they stick to their winning formula like glue throughout this new collection and unleash some of their most stadium-ready releases in the process.

It may feel like another driven Sherlocks record to add to their ever-expanding repertoire, but 'People Like Me & You' manages to deliver some brilliantly euphoric moments, showing that they aren't just another indie band peddling on the scene. There is something revitalising about their consistency these last few years, something we rarely get to hear these days.
