Having been largely silent since their stunning standalone single 'Óveõur' in 2016, Sigur Rós have now returned to share a brand new offering, their first in seven years!
The new track 'Blóðberg' is set to be the first taste of a new studio album from the trio, their first since 2013’s 'Kveikur', and comes accompanied by a brilliant new video, directed by Johan Renck.
Speaking about the new visuals, director Renck said, “I feel as nihilistic as one could regarding the future. We are powerless against our own stupidities. Some aspects of this came to merge with my impressions of the themes of Blóðberg. The music becoming a score to my own miserable thoughts, giving them beauty as only music can.”
