Slowdive announce new album 'everything is alive'

Following on from the release of their stunning comeback self-titled record in 2017, Slowdive have now announced their plans for a new studio album, arriving later this year.

The new full-length 'everything is alive' is being previewed by the new lead single 'kisses', which comes accompanied by a brilliant Noel Paul-directed video, and is set to be released on the 1st September via Dead Oceans.

Speaking about the new release, the band's Neil Halstead said, “It wouldn’t feel right to make a really dark record right now. The album is quite eclectic emotionally, but it does feel hopeful.”

While director Paul added about the new visuals, “If this video evokes emotion, it’s largely due to our excellent cast. In particular Charlie and Claudia, two courageous and beautiful souls who threw themselves into their roles and set a tone of fearless vulnerability.”
