Slowdive deliver new single 'the slab'

With their highly-anticipated new album now less than a month away, Slowdive have dropped the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.

The new single 'the slab' follows on from the previously shared tracks 'kisses' and 'skin in the game' in previewing their new LP 'everything is alive', which is set to be released on the 1st September via Dead Oceans.

Speaking about the new offering, the band's Neil Halstead said, “This is the heaviest track on the record and as the name suggests we wanted it to feel like a big slab of music. We wanted it to feel very dense."
