The Snuts - 'Millennials'

7/10

When Scottish outfit The Snuts first broke into the mainstream with their debut LP 'W.L.' back in 2021, they were greeted as one of the more exciting names emerging on the indie-rock scene. Returning to those bright and infectious sounds that brought the genre to prominence in the early 2000s, they quickly established themselves as a fun and lively addition to today's arena, which they doubled down on the following year with 'Burn The Empire'. Now back on the grind once again, they return with their third studio album 'Millennials', a record that builds upon that positive ascent to date.

Much like what their previous outings have shown, 'Millennials' looks to add another heady dose of energetic rhythms to their already excitable repertoire to date. Adding some bold and explosive weaponry to their catalogue in order to suit the bigger stages they have been billed on in recent years, this new full-length finds them in a renewed and confident spirit as they move effortlessly from one blistering banger to the next.

While it may not have moved on sonically since their earliest origins, The Snuts are doing what they do best, keeping the energy and vibes as high as possible. A strong return from a band that lack all the pretence of many of their contemporaries and just want to have a good time.
