Ever since breaking through with her stunning debut single 'stain' earlier this year, Czech artist THERA has quickly established herself as one of the more progressive additions to today's alt-pop arena. Adopting this brilliantly bold and riveting approach to her production, which allows her to venture into some truly immersive directions as it plays, she has certainly captured plenty of praise and attention these last few months. And with her profile continuing to grow, she is now looking to cement her dynamic legacy to date with the release of her hotly-tipped debut album 'I Wish I Called', a record that explores more of that alluring aesthetic she has been cultivating lately.
While plenty has already been said about her vibrant presence of late, 'I Wish I Called' looks to broaden those musical horizons further than ever before. Exploring this brilliantly rich and diverse pursuit that expands on what she has already earned a solid reputation for, she makes light work of this new offering, honing her emotive vocal presence across each of the eleven tracks. Despite still very much in her infancy, THERA is breaking free with carefree abandon across this new collection, something that feels extremely refreshing in today's commercial climate.
It has been less than a year since she introduced herself to the fold, but it already feels like THERA has an incredibly strong and assured grasp over her sound. Finding and developing interesting ideas as often as possible, 'I Wish I Called' makes for a bold and innovative introduction to what she has to offer us in the months ahead as well.
