Travis - 'Everything At Once'

5/10

Some of you maybe thinking, "Whatever happened to Travis?" Well the truth is they never actually went away. Returning after their 2013 album 'Where You Stand', the band release their eighth studio album 'Everything At Once' and while it may be harking far from their heyday sound, they have still managed to turn out a respectable release.

The trouble with a band like Travis is that they just aren't challenging enough to be interesting. For years they have ridden the middle of the road so tightly, its almost become a cliche to their image. While this album does attempt to deliver a bigger range than we have heard before, ultimately it is the same old band releasing the same old songs for the same old fans. Each album becoming nothing more than a placeholder in their seemingly unending career.

You have to admire them for managing to keep going for so long. Even though they probably never see the same success they did in the late 90s again, it is nice to see a familiar face still trying to rebuild themselves, even if it doesn't quite work the way it should.
