Universal confirm new Kurt Cobain solo album

Universal Music have today announced their plans to release a Kurt Cobain solo album, comprised of unreleased archive material recorded by the singer.

Due out on the 6th November, the release is set to coincide with the physical release of recent biopic 'Montage Of Heck', and will feature 12 tracks including a sketch featuring Cobain himself.

The director of 'Montage Of Heck', Brett Morgen, has recently been interviewed by Billboard about the album's material, and while he says they are not "finished songs or work-ups", they do "further our understanding of Kurt, both as a musician and as a man.”
