Having already made a confident comeback so far this year with the singles ‘Bellyache’ and ‘White Male Carnivore’, Yak have now announced their plans for a new studio album, set to arrive early next year.
The new full-length 'Pursuit Of Momentary Happiness' follows on from their critically-praised 2016 debut LP 'Alas Salvation', is being previewed by the new single 'Fried', and is due to be released on the 8th February via Virgin EMI / Third Man Records.
The creation of the new record came as no easy feat for frontman Oli Burslem, who sacrificed his own financial security and mental health in order to make it, plunging every penny he had into recording the band's sophomore release.
Speaking about the process of losing everything for the album, he added, “I don’t want it to be a boo-hoo story. It was fun doing it. It’s nice to push yourself to the limit, and I can say now that I don’t give a shit what anyone thinks, because it’s a document of that time, and it’s honest and open, and I couldn’t have done or given much more.”
