Having spent the last few years building and developing their sound, emerging Welsh trio Public Order have now unveiled their stunning debut single 'Feels Like Summer'.
Capturing the same bold and effervescent style as the early 90s Madchester scene, 'Feels Like Summer' makes for a captivating introduction to their direction. Filled with broad and jangled guitar riffs, blistering production, and some extremely catchy vocal hooks throughout, we can't wait to hear what these guys come out with next.
So with the new single out and about, we sat down with them to find out more about their background and what has inspired them over the years.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
How we come to love an instrument id never fucking know. all we wanted to be was Swedish superstar deejays, but after learning a couple tunes on guitar, and hearing them sounding like the records, we’ve been well into our guitars since then.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
To be fair we’ve been through all the phases like, like proper good stuff when you’re young like Blur and Duran Duran from hearing stuff in the car with your dad, to losing our way and having a Chris Brown moment when we were 13. Then thinking we were right hooligans and smashing Oasis and all the nonsense at 15 and 16. And now it’s just a massive mix of everything, if it’s a banging tune its a banging tune like.
What was the first album you remember owning?
Jac: Live and die by it, ‘Hero’ by the X Factor finalists. Nah most of the stuff that I did have though was from my brother and someone who worked with my dad gave me a box of stuff that he was throwing away that was full of gems like the Stones Roses self titled album and Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare.
Dai: First album i proper bought was the Porter Robinson one, Worlds. It was when I was getting proper into my music production and that.
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
Dai: 100% for me gotta be ‘God Only Knows’ by the Beach Boys, just cos it’s in the end of Love Actually, and I loves that film at Christmas. All star cast.
Jac: Everybody Wants To Rule The World, because it always seems to come on when we’re drinking and its one of them like, makes you feel like your in the 80’s.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
I feel like we think we’ve cracked the code by starting a tune a certain way, like maybe with some drums and bass groove or whatever, but then we try and do it again and never fucking works like. Most of the best stuff we’ve done tho is just when we’re taking the piss and having a laugh.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Elis: Lately i’ve been listening to artists like Alec Falconer, Sweely, Nathan Pinder, Action Bronson and Navy Blue. 1491 is a tune!
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Tom jones everyday of the week, our bampi can sing like.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
When you’re making a tune or whatever and you bounce it, and when you have that listen back and it just gives you the biggest buzz. I genuinely don’t think that anything comes close to that feeling. And when your'e with people and everyone on that same high it’s even better, it’s just unmatched.
And what is the most frustrating part?
Same sort of thing but the opposite really, just sitting down to write or produce and nothing sounds good. or you have an idea in your head and something about its not quite right. Just not being able to get that buzz like.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
Cliche as it sounds but literally do what you want to do, thats when its most fun. Looking at other people and whats popular and trying to re create that is just hard work and takes the fun out of it. Genuinely just making something fun and having the best laugh is key for us.
