Following on from the release of their highly-praised debut EP 'Soft Soap' last year, which found support from the likes of NME, BBC Radio 1, Clash and many more upon its release, emerging Nottingham-based outfit Cucamaras have now announced their plans for their new EP 'Buck Rogers Time', set to land in the coming months.
Their new five-track collection will feature the newly unveiled lead single 'Cotton Wool', one of their most compelling releases to date. Honing more of that rich and tender indie-rock aesthetic they have been building for themselves over the years, their newest gem sets them up to become one of the most talked about names for the year ahead.
Speaking about the track, vocalist and guitarist Olly Bowley said, “'Cotton Wool' is a story of admiration, whilst feeling like you’re in someone’s shadow. There’s this clumsy individual who’s running into all sorts of problems, whilst the other is sleeping peacefully - the former isn’t ready to lose that persons influence on their life.”
Their new EP 'Buck Rogers Time' is set to arrive this May, coinciding with the band's performance at this year's Great Escape Festival. Check out the new video for it in the player below.
