After breaking through with her stunning debut single 'White Wolf' earlier this year, US artist Logan Taylor is back once again to deliver her vibrant sophomore outing 'Some Other Woman'.
Lifted from her forthcoming debut album, which is set to arrive soon, 'Some Other Woman' continues more of that riveting pop-rock aesthetic she is quickly earning a reputation for. With her soaring vocal performance set to some swaggering guitar hooks throughout, she is definitely one to keep a firm eye on for the months ahead as well.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with her to find out more about her origins and what has been inspiring her most recently.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
Well, the only instrument I can play very well is the guitar. I started playing when I was twelve. I really just learned to play so I could put music to my lyrics. Even now, that’s how I look at it. I enjoy playing, but ultimately it’s what I use to write and perform my songs.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
I was always loved songs that told a story. My dad played a lot of country music when I was growing up, so I heard those types of songs all the time. It definitely influenced my songwriting.
What was the first album you remember owning?
The first album I remember owning is Taylor Swift’s debut album. My dad had seen her on CMT and got it for me as a gift. I remember loving “Should’ve Said No” and “Our Song.”
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
My answer to that question continually changes, but right now it’s “Labour” by Paris Paloma. I get chills every time I listen to it.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
I don’t have any rituals, but a lot of songs have come from me singing to myself. If I’m alone I’ll often start singing without thinking about. If anything sticks with me, I’ll write it down and try to turn it into a song.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Lana Del Rey. She’s always a favorite. I’ve also been listening to a lot of Amy Winehouse and Adele.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
If I could open for anyone in the world it’d be Stevie Nicks. She’s influenced me more than any other artist. It’d be a dream to open one of her shows.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
The most rewarding part is when you’re performing and can feel the audience connecting with a song you wrote. Those moments are fleeting, but they make all the difficulty worth it.
And what is the most frustrating part?
The most frustrating part is having to sell yourself and promote yourself constantly. It’s a necessary part of being an artist, but it’s not something that comes naturally to me. In a perfect world, I wouldn’t have to use social media at all.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
The best advice I’ve received is to never stop working on your craft. Whether you’re having success or going through a period of rejection, keep writing and working to improve. Don’t lose sight of why you’re pursuing music.
