Glass Noose - 'GLAZZ NOOZE'

7/10

Ever since they first emerged, US outfit Glass Noose have always looked to adopt a broader and more immersive sound than many of their peers. Originally starting life as a solo project for lead vocalist and songwriter Tristan Zemtseff, the band has evolved and morphed over the years, inviting a more diverse array of guest musicians along for each incarnation. And after rekindling much of that original magic on their 'April's Fool' EP earlier this year, they are now back with their stellar studio album 'GLAZZ NOOZE', a record that feels bigger and more anthemic than ever before.

Capturing more of that dynamic alt-rock energy they have been cultivating since they first emerged, 'GLAZZ NOOZE' makes for a wonderfully bold and enigmatic listen. Taking cues from the atmospheric 90s aesthetic and rebranding it for a modern ear, this new pursuit finds them in brilliantly adventurous spirits as they look to turn out one explosive entry after another. Brimming with another heady dose of emotional vocals, courtesy of Zemtseff, this new collection delivers some of their more vibrant efforts to date, building upon the expressive foundations they have cemented already.

Times have certainly been extremely busy for them recently, but 'GLAZZ NOOZE' shows there is still plenty of fresh and tantalising energy coursing through them right now. Feeling bigger and more progressive than ever, Glass Noose remain a firm and focused addition to today's new music scene.
