Having already delivered his much-loved LP 'Misplaced Faith' earlier this year, Texas-based artist Furlow is back on the grind once again to deliver his captivating new album 'The Garden'.
Featuring the previously shared anthem 'We Outside', this new twelve-track collection makes for a dazzling return for him. Filled with killer hooks, a progressive atmosphere, and vibrant vocal flows throughout, 'The Garden' marks one of his more impactful releases to date.
So with the new album available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and what has been inspiring him most recently.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
Piano. I have always loved chord progressions. I always try to incorporate a piano in my music and have the chord progression be something you can really feel.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
My earliest memory of music as a kid was my parents playing classic rock around the house. Bands like Guns N Roses, Poison, Journey & Van Halen were a staple in our household. It was not until my older brother Kory started taking me to school while listening to Lil Wayne that I fell in love with Hip-Hop and that genre has been my favourite ever since.
What was the first album you remember owning?
The Carter 3 by Lil Wayne. Not only was that album influential to me as an artist and producer, but the influence it has had on Hip-Hop since makes it one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time.
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
When it comes to songwriting, I have always found my favourite songs are written by folk/americana artists such as Zach Bryan or Tyler Childers. They have a way of really resonating with me and other listeners. So right now, I would say that “Shake the Frost” by Tyler Childers is one that I wish I wrote myself.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
I take extensive breaks from other music when I’m working on a new project or song. I will go weeks without listening to music to see what I can produce organically without the influence of what I am currently working on.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Right now, I have been listening to Jon Bellion. His musicality is amazing, and it constantly inspires me every track I hear of his. I am looking forward to him releasing a new album soon.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
R.I.P Mac Miller. He is my favourite artist of all time, and it would have been an amazing experience to not only meet him but to open for him on his tour.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
I find the most rewarding part to be self-expression. I am not an open person with my emotions, but music has allowed me to feel comfortable enough to speak about the issues of my life and allowed me to have a vessel to work through them.
And what is the most frustrating part?
It is frustrating when I feel like my music is not receiving the proper attention it deserves but I do believe it will in due time, I just have to trust the process.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
I wouldn’t say this advice particularly has to do with music, but more so about life in general. My favourite quote is from Earl Nightingale, and it reads, "Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. Time will pass anyway.” I like to remind myself to not give up no matter how long it takes because regardless that time will pass anyway, I might as well continue to do what I love.
