Alt-rock newcomers Keo have released their explosive debut single 'I Lied, Amber', marking a bold first step following their sold-out headline show at London’s Oslo last night.
Built around raw, emotive vocals and immersive shoegaze-inspired guitars, 'I Lied, Amber' channels the intensity of Jeff Buckley and Radiohead while carving out a sound entirely their own. With swirling textures, grunge-laced urgency, and a thunderous rhythm section, the track introduces Keo as a force to be reckoned with.
“It’s about pretending to trust somebody and lying to yourself that you do,” the band explains. “Letting your past relationships negatively dictate your future ones, but ultimately surrendering to the person with the knowledge that they have your heart in the palm of their hand.”
Led by brothers Finn (vocals, guitar) and Conor Keogh (bass), alongside Oli Spackman (drums) and Jimmy Lanwern (guitar), Keo have quickly made their presence felt on the UK live circuit. Their standout performances include a slot at BST Hyde Park alongside Kings of Leon and The Vaccines, a European tour with Nieve Ella, and upcoming shows supporting Birmingham’s overpass.
