Ever since he first adopted the Brook Haven moniker, Italian producer and sound designer Marco Cella has always looked to explore a broader and more immersive aesthetic than many of his peers. Creating these beautifully rich and wondrous soundscapes across a flurry of impactful offerings over the years, he has quickly established himself as one of the more innovative names doing the rounds right now. And after last year's 'Evergrace' continued that dynamic ascent, he is back once again to offer up his latest EP 'Luster', another riveting array of captivating ideas at every turn.
Much like his tenure to date, 'Luster' looks to harbour this bold and kaleidoscopic approach to both sound and direction. Exploring these dark and haunting endeavours across all five tracks, his latest collection finds him in the same exploitative mindset that has made him such an impactful force on the new music scene lately. Brimming with a creative spirit that sees him venture down avenues of techno, dub, and ambience throughout, Cella is continuing to widen his horizons here, capturing some of his more wondrous atmospheres to date.
While these last few years have certainly been a great time for invention and self-discovery, 'Luster' shows he is still very much on top of his creative game right now. With such a firm and focused grasp over his sound from beginning to end, Brook Haven continues to shine as a true innovator doing the rounds right now.
