To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their brilliant debut EP 'A Balloon Called Moaning', The Joy Formidable have now announced their plans to reissue their seminal release with a batch of Welsh language version of their original tracks.
The new double album will feature the 2009 EP alongside a newly recorded acoustic Welsh language version ‘Y Falwn Drom’, is being previewed the acoustic version of 'Whirring' and its Welsh counterpart 'Chwyrlio', and is expected to arrive on the 25th October via Hassle Records.
On the new release, frontwoman Ritzy Bryan explains, "We’ve been through such a lot as a band over the years, it’s been a really reflective studio session, returning to the old recordings and transforming them into these beautiful stripped back, intimate versions. It’s exciting hearing them in the Welsh language because now they have new life too and can be a celebration of language as well as memory."
