Having given themselves a deserving break last year after releasing five studio albums in 2017, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have now announced their plans for a new studio LP, arriving next month.
The new full-length 'Fishing For Fishies' will become the band's fourteenth album to date, will include the recently shared single 'Cyboogie' as well as the newly unveiled title-track, and is set to be released on the 26th April via their own Flightless Records.
Speaking about their new release, frontman Stu Mackenzie explained, “We tried to make a blues record. A blues-boogie-shuffle-kinda-thing, but the songs kept fighting it - or maybe it was us fighting them. Ultimately though we let the songs guide us this time; we let them have their own personalities and forge their own path. Paths of light, paths of darkness. This is a collection of songs that went on wild journeys of transformation.”
