While the name may be familiar with those who have kept their ear firmly to the ground for the last twelve months, it seems that 18-year-old Liverpudlian singer/producer Holly Fletcher aka Låpsley is about to make her grand entrance onto the mainstream in the coming months.
After performing the BBC Introducing circuit at various festivals this summer, she has been receiving a huge amount of support from the organisation and in turn, given her career an incredibly positive boost in the right direction.
Her seminal track 'Painter (Valentine)' received daytime radio play by BBC Radio 1 on a number of occasions, and her most recent track 'Falling Short' has shot to the top of Hype Machine's Popular Chart after just two days on Soundcloud.
Although the singer has no immediate plans to release a full-length album just yet, it feels like this is becoming the calm before the storm as next time we hear some new music from her, it won't be just the late night DJs playing it.
