When she released her breakthrough debut EP 'An Interpretation Of Depersonalisation' last year, Netherlands-born artist Dutch Mustard quickly found herself riding a wave of almost unanimous buzz and acclaim. With a sound that blends a heady dose of dream-pop, shoegaze, and alt-rock influences, her initial offering was a vibrant introduction into who she wanted to be seen as an artist. And after yet more praise in the months since, she returns with her enigmatic sophomore EP 'Beauty', a release that builds upon those positive foundations.
While her first outing certainly cemented her as a bright and innovative name on the rise, 'Beauty' sees her double down on those ideals to create something far more adventurous and unbridled. Keeping much of the same powerful energy as before, this new four-track sees her in a wonderfully euphoric guise as she aims to hone her sound into something more cohesive and succinct throughout.
Her journey to date has been a wild one to say the least, but 'Beauty' is a strong and confident response from a name still gathering the pieces of her unique aesthetic together. Fun, lively and enjoyable from start to finish, she is definitely someone we can't wait to hear more from.
